IMO, Marco Rubio’s confusing statements can be linked directly to his desire to be POTUS. In pursuing this desire, he’s become willing to say/do anything, even abandon his own immigration reform bill. This indicates to me that his main concern is for himself and not what would be best for the nation. He rode into D.C. high on Tea Party fumes and quickly found out that if the tea partiers opposed anything he did, he could soon find himself out of Congress, so he made a conscious decision to sell his soul to them to insure his political survival in Congress.

Rubio has been the biggest loser in Cruz’s rise to prominence. He also messed up by “daring” to be reasonable about on immigration. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a serious primary challenger.

IMHO, nationwide or in a big diverse state, you can’t assemble a electoral majority without pandering incompatible things to different parts of your constituency. No doubt there’s an art to it. Boy Wonder Rubio’s technique was good enough for Florida, but not for the big leagues. He got cocky.

He’s only 42. If he takes this lesson to heart, America may not have heard the last of Marco Rubio.

Owning the complete “Murder She Wrote” may be evidence that you’re not part of the base. After all, I expect most of its fans are women.
